Christmas Gift Guide - For Mums!

For me, Christmas gift buying for mum is my favourite. I *hope* that I know what my mum loves, and that I can spoil her with some super pampering treats at Christmas time. Whether it's a beauty gift set, some luxurious treats for the home, or even a treatment for herself, here are my top picks for Mum this Christmas!

Luxury Beauty

Who doesn't love a high end beauty product?! This Christmas you can't go wrong by treating your mum to some luxurious beauty, and brands including YSL have some gorgeous options including the Touche Eclat Blur Perfector - which looks as beautiful on the outside as the effect it has on skin. The balmy texture refines pores and fine lines, and is a stunning company for mums to store in their handbags!

Pampering Pressies!

Because Mum's need some Me-Time too, it's always lovely to treat her to some lovely pampering products, ranging from hand creams such as the Aveda Hand Relief, to one of the Caudalie gift sets. Candles are always a lovely treat too - and my favourite set this festive season is this miniature trio from Diptyque.

Heavenly Scents 

Fragrances are another fool proof gift - I wrote an entire gift guide on fragrances here but one that you can't go wrong with is Jo Malone. Their packaging alone is beautiful, and their miniature bottles are the perfect way to let Mum discover a new favourite scent.

Me Time 

Finally, and my personal favourite gift for mums is the gift of 'me-time' in the form of an indulgent treatment. Hidden amongst the Valentino Rock Studs and Chanel Haute Couture in Harrods lies the Urban Retreat spa, famed for their Hammam treatments - ranging from exfoliating scrubs to purifying facials - a treatment is a gift that you might just want to share!

The Christmas Jumper Edit

Any excuse for a bit more festivity on the blog, I thought today I'd have a little browse online for some of my favourite Christmas Jumpers! You may have seen my ginormous haul in a recent Vlogmas - so it's safe to say I have a bit of a thing for festive attire. While out shopping in Covent Garden, I chose a cheeky monkey emoji jumper from Primark, sparkliest Miu Miu sunnies, and gave the outfit a fun and fashionable twist with my new bright blue over knee boots from Moda in Pelle.

Preparing the Home for Christmas

For many of us, this weekend will be the time that we fill our homes with festivity - choosing the tree,  bringing decorations out of their boxes, and searching the stores for new beautiful ornaments to decorate our homes with. This year, Charlie and I decided to invest in some beautiful traditional Christmas ornaments, the types that you bring out year after year, and fortunately for us, John Lewis had a dazzling selection to choose from, including some beauties which had already gone down into the sale.

We opted for a mixture of gold and white Christmas Tree baubles - our tree is a colourful selection of ornaments which each hold treasured memories, and the extra sprinkling of white and gold gave the tree a more luxurious feel.

We also chose a few baubles and ribbons to decorate a garland which we decorate our stair banister with, as well as an unusual jingle-bell wreath ornament (just �3.15!), and matching white and gold party crockery in preparation for our annual Christmas Jumper party!

Finally, we decided to treat ourselves to some new lounge additions to add a cosy and warm feel to the living areas, including a small selection of faux fur cushions and a sumptuous throw perfect for those chilly evenings.

A Dog Lover's Christmas Gift Guide!

If you've been following me on any type of social media over the past few months, you will have noticed a new addition to the family. A tiny sausage-shaped puppy named Dexter has officially become my biggest love - he has endless affection for us, he is playful and mischievous, handsome and adorable. He's only been a part of our lives for three months but already I can't bare to think of a world without my little man. In case you couldn't tell - I'm smitten! 

This Christmas, I can guarantee that friends and family will be spoiling me with dog themed gifts, there will be novelty sausage dog phone cases, dachshund embroidered clothing and more, but there are also so many gifts which are perfect for dog lovers which will stand the test of time, and not just for giggles on Christmas day.

Christmas Gift Guide Beauty Lovers

Here's the one that I couldn't wait to share with you! If you're reading this blog (oh hi there!) chances are, like me, you're a bit of a beauty lover. Well, I've got some good news for you! This year the beauty gift sets are better than ever, it seems every brand is throwing together their best products to give you the perfect presents this Christmas. There's a LOT to get through, so I've chosen my absolute favourites to share with you in today's post.
